About Me

Consultant Radiation Oncologist, Tawam Hospital, Al Ain, UAE. Adjunct Assistant Professor in the College of Medicine and Health Sciences at UAE University. Director and General Secretary of Emirates Oncology and Radiotherapy Association (EORA). Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC). Dr. Alkaabi, with extensive experience in Radiation Oncology, completed his residency program at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada. He then pursued a clinical fellowship in Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) at the same university. Undeterred by his growing knowledge, Dr. Alkaabi continued his studies, completing another clinical fellowship in Neuro-oncology, CyberKnife, and Stereotactic RadioSurgery (SRS) at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. He is certified in Low-Dose Radiotherapy (LDRT) in Benign conditions such as osteoratheritis. Dr. Alkaabi’s areas of expertise include central nervous system tumors, breast cancer, stereotactic body radiation therapy, and stereotactic radiosurgery. He holds the esteemed position of lead physician at the CyberKnife unit at Tawam Hospital. Dr. Alkaabi’s interests also encompass pediatric radiation oncology, lymphoma, palliative radiotherapy, LDRT in benign conditions and patient well-being. Beyond his expertise as a radiation oncologist, Dr. Alkaabi has made remarkable contributions in other fields. He is the founding member of Emirates Oncology and Radiotherapy Association (EORA) and works as its Director and General Secretary. He is also the founding member of Emirates Society of Radiation Oncology (ESRO) under Emirates Medical Association and was the General Secretary in 2025. He participated in the Forward Medical Team, a UAE government initiative in humanitarian missions to Gaza. Additionally, he is a valued member of EVOS – Ministry of Interior Bin Wareeqa initiative.
